Police Brutality: something we all need to think about.

I personally believe its the "Time to strip the Police Departments of their Internal Investigation Department. Create a Civilian Oversight Board; determined like jury duty. One where the sole purpose is to review Police Misconduct and bring charges upon Officers if need be, that would then be tried in a court of law." 

The Lawlessness within the Police, the hatred and racism, is a plague on our Society. Police Brutality is one thing that we all need to think about and discuss. The Militarization is out of control and so are the Politicians who support this. We most VOTE those Politicians out of Office. Send a clear and concise message to them, that this mentality, this acceptance to believe you can turn a "Military" on us to serve us a summons or cite a traffic ticket, must stop.  The Police are supposed to be here to serve us, protect us. They are not here to corral us, herd us, or slaughter us.  Yet they are. 

The current White House Administration has failed to address the issue appropriately. Instead sort of turning a "blind eye" towards the brutality.  Case in point, the FERGUSON MASSACRE that we joust witnessed. President Obama was slow to speak on the issue and then was sort of chastising Residence for trying to PROTEST the killing of Michael Brown. A clear violation of FREE SPEECH occurred, not to mention deadly threats. Or what about the Police killing a Young Black Man, John Crawford,  in Walmart for carrying a B&B Gun that he was going to purchase, where is the President on this one? Examples like these are so common and prevalent in America right now. 

It is time we arm ourselves with our VOTE. We don't NEED GUNS to fight off the tyranny of BIG BROTHER, CORPORATE AMERICA, or the OLIGARCHY, like the some people in this Country of ours believe. All we need is our VOTE. 

Together we can stand strong, arm in arm, and STOP this MADNESS. 

This should be a talking point that we all can agree in. Tea Party and Liberals, this should be an issue we can easily, by working together. This isn't about taking away gun rights from ANY ONE CIVILIAN. Its about insuring our lives, from the possibility of  being subjected to treatment like this. This is the Country where FREEDOM is supposed to RIEGN FREE....yet here we are suppressing the RIGHTS, that we are supposed to hold so dear, of our neighbors and turning a blind eye. 

Time we acknowledge that "We have a problem, Houston!" 

                                                                                                                                                   

If you fear the Oppressor, then we should give up; A recent conversation about Detroit.

In a recent conversation over FB, I was asking about where is the rage from Detroit Liberals, as in, where is the leadership, where is the organization and mass protest about all that is taking place. And this was one response that I thought I would share. For I personally believe that this encompasses many peoples worries on the Left about protesting. 

"Rich. the militarization of the police and the attacks against against Occupy in many cities are signs that the Tiananmen Square protests and the Istanbul protests are the wave of the future. a mass protest in any US city will face military tactics."

And here was my reply...

"[Y]ou are right. However, we can't fear that. Think of where this country would be now, if people were afraid to face the oppressor. There would be slavery, maybe. There wouldn't have been the Civil Rights Movement in the 60's. Rosa Park would have never sat down, no matter how tired she was. ITs time we, find our courage, like those that bled before us, so we their children could fight this fight again, for our children. And we continue to teach our children to fight and stand up against injustice...and the best way to teach children, is by example. I have been teacher my whole career, be it as a Nurse or a Special Ed. Teacher, i Know this works. Again, its time to stop being afraid of the retaliation, for if thats what www will fear, then give up. Just say its ok, for the rich to own our air, water, and our children.

I just don't want to go out like that. I ant my two year old to know that you don't fear justice. You don't fear the bully when he punches you. You stand up, and let them hit you again, and again, if need be. But you stand up for what is right and moral and just. Thats what I want my son to believe in, and thats what I want him to see his father do."

I really, honestly believe, with all my heart that all is lost if we embrace the fear of repercussion from the tyranny of the Oligarchy and their precious Corporations.

Just give up, #America. Just give up...  

Its is not enough to be nice, Mr. Police Officer

With all the #senseless beatings, incarcerations and killings, at the hand of our #Police Departments, here in the United States, its good to see videos likes this one that has gone viral (case point; I am re-posting a re-post).

When I was a kid, growing up in Kalamazoo, Michigan, our neighborhood police officers were great. And we did some really, really #stupidshit. They would chastise us, often when caught. They would even take us back to our parents and chastise them, for letting us do stupid shit; then of course our parents would ground us or beat us. Depending on the severity of course. We could even run around our neighborhoods playing war, with very REALISTIC toy guns, or sticks. We could even throw tomatoes at cars, without the fear of getting shot by our Police. Now days, these things are unrealistic.

Our #Police are trained now to think that everyone is a #Terrorist, #Murderer, or conspiring to do one of those things. And they have become #bullies, and those that were bullies in school, are now wearing badges; and enjoying it.
They are quick to hit, spray, taze, and shoot. And when they are in the wrong, they are acquitted of charges, given pay, and allowed to go back to duty in some cases. They have become Fascist Dictators and they honestly believe that they are todays, real life, #JudgeDredd. Acting as "Judge and Jury" doling out corporal punishment as they see fit.

And we have become silent about this. The recent postings about the #1967MulfordAct, should teach us a lesson, and provide inspiration. Those Young African American Men, in the #BlackPantherParty, were brave enough to confront the tyranny, that plagued their neighborhoods; what we are seeing and talking about now, taking place once again. Yet, we are not using our #2ndAmendment to protect our children, and ourselves now from this. We are only arguing about what that right means and what guns people can carry. And we are doing so, with more passion and energy, then were are trying to stop this Corruption and disregard for our #ConstitutionalRights, that are being suppressed right before our very eyes.

Its time we stop acting scared of #Terrorists in this Country. We deal and shrug off #GangViolence every day, and have done so for decades now. So we are we just now, tolerating this behavior form our Police Forces now all in the name of Protecting our Constitutional Rights from those that would terrorize us?

Police protect the assets of the #Oligarchy with the same tenacity that our Armed Forces protect oil wells. They confiscate our properties in the name of stopping the drug war. They beat us when we protest peacefully; even if its to stand up for #UnionRights and the right to form #Unions; something that is at the very core of their jobs.

So when I see or hear, Police acting like the Officer in this picture, I have to wonder what his integrity will be like when he is told to beat that child, or as he watches another Officer beat that child, for a small stupid shit crime; like tagging his initials on someones garage door. Will he stop another officer from shooting this kid, will he arrest that officer for murder, or will he just turn another blind eye. For we all know Police are taught not to Police themselves, for they are Brothers and Sisters, and they need to stand shoulder to shoulder against the filth, that litter the streets that their Masters own.

I post this to remind us, that this is the way it is supposed to be. We are their employer. They are our employees. We are their brothers and sisters, neighbors, cousins, Aunts and Uncles. They must sow us respect, if they want us to respect them and the badge.

For just like the Police, look at us with jaded eyes, we wear the same lenses when looking at them.
